420  [Stainless Steel]

Hardenable, straight-chromium stainless steel which combines superior wear resistance with excellent corrosion resistance.

Allegheny Ludlum is currently not producing Type 420 stainless steel. In many applications, Types 410 and 440A stainless steels may provide an acceptable alternative, and their use should be considered.
