ATI Allegheny Ludlum offers many products that have resistance to hostile marine environments. They are used in applications such as seawater piping systems, process piping systems, heat exchanger equipment, and support structures. Several Allegheny Ludlum alloys have also been used in desalination plants and on commercial and military ships. Stainless steels such as Type 316L and the AL 2003™ lean duplex alloy are appropriate for use in the treatment and distribution of fresh water, wastewater, and storm water.
