Type 301 is a commonly specified stainless steel for hose clamps. It is available in five tempers (specified as annealed through full-hard) with corresponding strength levels ranging from 40-185 ksi. Type 201 can often be substituted for higher-nickel alloys in hose clamp applications. It behaves similarly to Type 301, and can be temper rolled to strengths of 200 ksi or more. |
